Woman Turns Table on Armed Thieves in Walmart Parking Showdown

In the early hours of a recent Tuesday, a 53-year-old woman found herself staring down the barrel of a gun in the parking lot of a Walmart in Auburn, Washington. According to KCPQ-TV, the woman was approached by armed suspects who demanded her belongings. Auburn is located approximately 30 minutes south of Seattle.

However, the woman was not defenseless. She too was carrying a firearm, and she chose to fight back. “Always carry. The law states if a gun is pulled on you, you can use the same force — and remember shoot once, and shoot to kill,” she asserted.

Despite her brave response, the suspects retaliated, injuring her in the process.

Arriving on the scene around 3:30 a.m., police officers found and treated the woman for a gunshot wound. KCPQ-TV reports assure she’s expected to make a full recovery.

The incident didn’t end there, though. Police officers, assisted by a K-9 unit, traced and apprehended the suspects. The suspects, two males aged 19 and 21, were taken into custody.

However, police haven’t shared additional details concerning the suspects. KCPQ-TV reported that information remains “limited at this time.”

The harrowing event ignited passionate responses from people who read the story on KCPQ’s Facebook page.

“This is exactly why I carry ALL the time now,” one person commented. “Auburn has become dangerous.”

Another said, “I hate that you can’t go anywhere without having fear.”

An observer noted, “While she was still shot, she at least had the chance to defend herself.”

One user humorously pointed out, “Very little good happens at 0330, especially in a Wallyworld parking lot.”

Emphasizing the need for self-defense, a commenter declared, “Always carry. The law states if a gun is pulled on you, you can use the same force — and remember shoot once, and shoot to kill.”

While a final person exclaimed, “Auburn is pretty rough these days!”

It’s clear from these comments that the incident has raised concerns about safety in the area and emphasized the importance of being prepared at all times. The brave response of this woman serves as a stark reminder that everyone has the right to defend themselves when faced with danger.

    She has a right to defend herself. All what’s going on in this country is terrible. People are crossing the Border illegally and nothing is being is being done about it . We Americans are going to fight back. God bless the woman.

    What do you mean “brave” little boys? They took it upon themselves to live in an adult world! In doing so they deserve whatever comes their way! Remember, “When SECONDS count any help from outsiders (Police or bystanders) is MINUTES away.” Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!

    How in the world can some people vote for “no, call police for immediate assistance?” First of all assistance is not immediate by the police. They have to drive there. The threat this woman was threatened with was imminent. By the time the police get there she could have been shot and killed.

    It is so disgusting here in the U.S.A. and world wide the violence is deplorable horrible and awful. The signs are evident all over the planet. It was prophesied in the one true Holy Book the Holy Bible that “the world will be filled with violence before the great day of The Lord to judge the wicked in this world “.
