Man Thwarts Break-in with Paintball Gun, Becomes Local Hero
A Californian man single-handedly thwarted an apparent break-in at his neighbor’s home, brandishing nothing but a paintball gun. The event was captured on his home surveillance system, providing a somewhat surprising narrative.
Julian Harper-Smith, a resident of the Tarzana neighborhood in San Fernando Valley, was the unexpected hero of this story.
Before the incident, the community had expressed discontent regarding his trailer parked on the street. However, the very same trailer became instrumental in the capture of the alleged culprits.
Harper-Smith shared the surveillance footage with KCAL-TV, recounting the events of the night.
On noticing men suspiciously climbing over his neighbor’s fence, he quickly armed himself with a pepperball gun and a bright flashlight.
He said,
“I went over there, grabbed my pepperball gun and I grabbed a bright flashlight and as I walked out, turned on the flashlight and I must have scared them because it’s so bright, and then they all ran back to the car.”
It appears that the sudden illumination startled the intruders, causing them to retreat. He added,
“That’s when they hopped in the car. I put my flashlight down and gave them a couple of shots in the back of the car, so hopefully, they would not come back.”
The video was made public through a KCAL news report on YouTube.
Bret Cohen, a fellow resident, revealed that his initial disapproval of Harper-Smith’s trailer took a 180-degree turn following the incident. He humorously stated,
“Well it’s a frickin’ eyesore! But you know what, it’s a nice eyesore today! Yesterday it was a horrible eyesore, today I’m kinda diggin’ on it!”
Expressing his gratitude for Harper-Smith’s intervention, he labelled him a local hero.
“He’s a madman! Are you kidding me? It’s the coolest thing in the world! He’s John McClane, he chased these guys down not knowing if they had guns or not, and shot at them!”
Cohen compared Harper-Smith’s daring act to the bold heroics of John McClane from the iconic “Die Hard” movie series. This tale of neighborhood watch turned vigilante highlights the valuable role individuals can play in maintaining community safety.

It was a late-model Kia silver hatchback. How many of them can there be in the neighborhood? And then the police identified it and pursued it, but then lost it. Sad.

In todays Bidens America, I’m surprised the cops had enough money to chase the silver SUV. They probably ran out of gas during the persuit. If they got caught the AG would have ordered them to be released anyway. We have to dump the Dems if we have any hope of restoring law and order.
