An Oklahoma teenager’s clear-headed brave response to an alleged home invasion has earned him accolades and recognition from the local Sheriff’s office. Colton Parker, a 17-year-old resident of Bokchito, bravely defended his home from a man who not only invaded his space but also allegedly sought to harm him with a vehicle.

The teen was lauded for his courage, bravery, and quick-witted actions by Bryan County Sheriff Johnny Christian in a commendation ceremony. “In the face of this terrifying situation, Colton demonstrated exceptional courage and composure,” praised the Sheriff.

Parker’s ordeal began when the barks of his family dogs alerted him to an intruder. The alleged intruder, 57-year-old Brandon Lee Lesley, was armed with a knife and attempting to break into the home. However, Parker, showing remarkable calm, armed himself with his father’s gun and forced the intruder to retreat.

However, the danger didn’t end there. Lesley allegedly then turned his car into a weapon, driving it into the house in an attempt to hit Parker. He then reversed and drove off, leaving Parker in a home with a ruined wall and a family truck with slashed tires.

“Colton demonstrated exceptional courage and composure, taking decisive action to protect himself and others,” the commendation read. “It is with great honor and respect that we commend Colton Parker, a courageous and quick-thinking young man and citizen of Bryan County, for his extraordinary bravery and presence of mind in the face of extreme danger.”

Investigators were later able to locate and apprehend Lesley at another burglary incident, where he was attempting to flee. His charges included attempted first-degree burglary, assault with a dangerous weapon, and malicious injury to property. He also faced another charge of second-degree burglary for the separate incident at which he was arrested.

Sheriff Christian recognized Parker’s role in aiding the arrest, as his detailed description of Lesley and the events of the incident were instrumental in identifying and arresting him. “His bravery in the face of such a dangerous threat is a testament to his strength of character and unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of those around him,” the commendation stated.

“On behalf of the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, we proudly present this Sheriff’s Commendation to Colton Parker in recognition of his exceptional bravery, selflessness, and heroism in the face of adversity. Colton’s actions serve as an inspiration to us all and a shining example of the true meaning of courage.” As a result of his courageous and commendable actions, Parker has been made an honorary deputy in his home town of Bokchito, Oklahoma, a town of approximately 632 residents in the southern central part of the state.

IF you want to kill someone, use a vehicle (that you have no “right” to own. Using a gun, that you do have a right to own, will get you into trouble. Another example of our laws, being written by idiots, to protect the thugs on the street. The insane are running the asylum. The property owner’s (taxpayers) are the suckers in Amerika, Land of GR-EED, home of the KNAVE
