A well-known former NFL player found himself in hot water this Tuesday, facing serious allegations.

According to a police report, former Baltimore Ravens defender Terrell Suggs allegedly brandished a firearm and verbally threatened another man during an altercation outside a Starbucks located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This surprising incident began around lunchtime, shortly after 12:30 p.m., when the ex-football star maneuvered his black Range Rover past the Starbucks drive-thru order area. Following this, he reversed his car, resulting in it making contact with another vehicle.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office police report stated that a heated argument arose from the collision. Oddly enough, there was no visible damage to either vehicle involved. However, the disagreement escalated when the former footballer attempted to leave the scene, leading to another argument. The report alleges that Suggs, 41, then brandished a gun from his SUV, threatening the life of the other man involved.

The report includes some inflammatory words allegedly used during the exchange. The ex-NFL player reportedly insulted the other man, using racially charged language, saying, “I’ll kill your b***h a**.”

Despite the harsh words and the presence of a firearm, the police report indicates that the victim did not feel the gun was directly pointed at him. However, the victim did feel threatened enough to take note of the footballer’s license plate number, which he later reported to the police alongside dashcam footage of the incident.

The former football star briefly addressed the incident via TMZ, mainly expressing his concerns for his safety during the altercation. He said, “I was in a quiet area of Scottsdale in the middle of the day in a Starbucks drive-thru near my home when an incident happened with a vehicle behind me. I was getting coffee, I was not looking for any trouble.”

He further added, “When the man in the other vehicle escalated the situation, I feared for my safety not knowing what his intentions were. Throughout the incident, I was the one who felt in danger, while fearing I would be followed home and for the safety of my family nearby at my residence.”

The ex-NFL star now faces charges, including one count of assault and one count of disrupting public order. He was subsequently booked into the Maricopa County Jail.

Suggs had a solid career in football. He spent 16 years playing for the Baltimore Ravens, even securing a Super Bowl victory in the 2012 season. Later, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs and won a second Super Bowl in the 2019 season against the San Francisco 49ers. This recent incident certainly marks a stark contrast to his previous achievements, creating a concerning narrative about his post-football life.
